The dealer, Todd, worked with me knowing that I didn't have very much money for a down payment and that I needed to take a car off the lot that day because my current vehicle had broken down. He sold me the used Smartcar at a reasonable price and took care of the license and registration for me. The car turned out not to be available the day I bought it, but he gave me a loaner car free of charge, then two days later he drove my new car all the way to Worcester himself to drop it off with me.

This dealership was very accommodating with what I was looking for - they were not pushy and answered all the questions that I had. They were willing to work with me when I wanted to trade-in my old car that was not worth much, but they were actually the dealership that was willing to give me the most for it, which ultimately was the reason why I went with them. Nevertheless, they were very knowledgeable and courteous.

I used this dealer because my Uncle had used this dealer. My Uncle buys and sells cars regularly and has done a lot of business through this dealer and with the particular salesmen at this dealer. They were very receptive and nice, and did not spin me around. They seemed to be on the same page as me with getting the cheapest, but most comfortable option available.

The dealership was so great because it was a legit Toyota and had perks like free car wash for the remainder of car life and also I could trade it back in and upgrade to something else if the need arose.

Worcester, MA Driving Tips
Avoid Kelly Square at all costs. It is a mad house. There are 6 roads that lead into this square and there are no traffic lights, just stop signs. You not only have to deal with people driving straight through to get to the highway but also cars driving through the square to get to the street that is diagonal from the street they are coming from. You have to see it to believer it.
Worcester, MA Buying Tips
I have never bought a car in this city, but all my friends have just purchased their cars from the seller rather than a dealer. Also invest in good winter tires and when purchasing a new car be wary of any rust! This could make the car fail inspection.
Favorite driving memory
I like driving at night (like around 9) when there are barely any cars on the roads. During college my friends and I would sometimes get bored of the campus and the area surrounding us known as "main south" and take a cruise. We would typically drive into what people call the "Jewish Labyrinth". This is just an area towards Holden that has these sprawling winding private streets filled with Victorian era mansions. My friends kinda knew some of the because they taught at the Hebrew school in that area, but we would eventually get lost. It was fun just talking and driving around trying to remember what way we had actually come. We pretty much treated those cruises as a drive-able sofa.
Favorite road
Route 9 west. This is the alternative road to get out to western Mass and the preferable route for me. It is a two lane road that twists and turns through the woods and goes through a ton of towns. There are no tolls and it only adds about 20 minutes on travel time.

Worcester, MA Driving Tips
Plan your route for a time when school is in session. After school gets out for the day, say, between 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm, traffic is at a stand-still on most of the major roads due to the school buses. I'd advise you to take a bus if you only have one or two stops to make, but if you plan on being busy, make use of the parking garages downtown and plan to do a little walking.
Worcester, MA Buying Tips
My suggestion for anyone buying a car to drive in this city is to buy a hybrid gas-electric vehicle. The amount of time you will spend in traffic idling makes it worth the money you'll save on gas. Also, it's better for the environment and everyone must do their part.
Favorite driving memory
When I need to do errands or get around my city, I sometimes drive and other times I take public transportation. Driving is definitely quicker as you can go from one place to another without waiting for buses, but parking is terrible. Downtown, the streets are clogged with cars parked on both sides of the road and you could easily drive 15 minutes just looking for a parking spot. The bus, however, picks me up at the end of my street and delivers me right to City Hall, in the midst of downtown.
Favorite road
Grove Street.. Grove street can bring you to many attractions in Worcester. You can get to the stores you need, the Eco Museum and the Armory and my doctor's office is right on the way. It seems that when the rest of Worcester's streets are like a parking lot of backed up traffic, Grove St. traffic is cruising along with no problem. There's also plenty of parking.
