Tough little truck.
The Ford F150 is one of the most popular vehicles sold in the US, of all time. The 1994 model was no exception, having a very rugged frame and chassis, Front anti-lock brakes, and power steering and automatic transmission. It's a little higher off the ground than previous years, and the Flare Side model has a sporty, 6-foot bed that makes it easier to turn the truck, and back it up. The power windows, bucket seats, and variable heat/air controls all help make this truck a stylish, yet comfortable ride.

An oldie, a goodie, and a great deal too!
The first time I saw this truck, was a photo of it on Craigslist. A guy was selling it in a nearby town, and I got very excited, because the truck is an F150, which I wanted, it was sharp looking, which I hoped for, and it was a great deal, which I was grateful for. The style package is more “loaded,” so the truck has some perks; it’s a V8, it has two gas tanks, has a short bed which makes it look sporty, yet the interior and dashboard are pretty simple, without all the readouts and gadgets of “newer” trucks. This truck is solid. It’s got a wide wheel base, which, with the short bed, make it feel like it hugs the road more, and the cab is still high enough that I can see over most other cars. Other things I like about the truck are, it has power steering, power windows, power brakes, and a bench seat, which feels sturdier and is easier to maintain than bucket seats. This truck is the perfect size; It’s big enough to haul a 25 foot boat, or an RV trailer, and it’s not huge so I’ll have fun driving it on the highway, on a city street, on a country road, or down to the beach. The truck runs well; when I bought it, it needed a fuel pump, some brake work, and some new gaskets and hoses. It runs smooth, and sounds great for a 25 year old vehicle. The gas mileage isn’t great, but I’m not going to use it for a lot of road trips. I’ll drive it 6 miles or so to work, 15 miles or so to my favorite fishing spots, and 5-10 miles to visit a friend here and there. This truck has a sport bed, 72” x 48”, which is short for a typical F150. It’ll be adequate for hauling lumber and building materials, or loading up boxes and furniture when I help friends move, and my 10 foot kayak fits perfectly, pushed in at an angle. One reason I have a truck is to do all these things, but mostly to haul my kayak and gear for a day’s fishing.
