Reliable Car
My 1999 Ford Taurus is one of the most reliable cars I have owned. It is a tiny car with great adjustable seats. I am short and the seat allows me to move it forward and backwards, and up and down. There is also an adjustable lumbar option on the seat for your back. I like that the car sits low because it makes it cozy and makes it harder for the sun to hurt your eyes. Driving the car feels pretty smooth until you reach 80-90 miles per hour. There really is not a reason to be going that fast so it is not a big deal. The handling of the car itself is also very smooth and simple. It does not rattle and the air conditioning unit is amazing and works incredibly fast. This car is a great starter car for any college student like myself because it is reliable and easy to manage.

The only car I've ever owned
I've had my Ford Taurus for 10 years now, my parents bought it for me in high school. It only had 1 previous owner, an older lady who brought it in for regular check ups and only put on 40k miles in 6 years. It was a bargain ($6000) from the dealership, he wanted to move it quickly because there was a rumored defect of this model because of roof leakage. It turned out the defect was in this model, and after it sat in a storm it was drenched inside. My parents aired it out and got it fixed, I think the insurance covered it. The biggest con is that the "check engine" light has been on for 7 years, and no one can diagnose why. The paint job is a little scratched up and there are rust spots around the tires, but I drive in Minnesota winters. The only major problem it's had is some coolant leaking last summer, I was able to get it fixed for less than $60. It's been a hell of a car, and I will drive it until the (new this winter!) wheels fall off.
