Dependable but expensive to fix
It is a solid car but being European it is expensive to fix when repairs are due. The parts not only cost more but have to be ordered and it takes forever. It is reliable though. Even with having things that need fixing, it is still a good reliable used car. It has some strange electrical things that have gone on though and no one can tell me what the cause is. It gets great gas mileage though and I can go far on the gas in my tank. It shakes ridiculously bad when I go over 50 mph and maybe that's because of the tires. The car inside is sort of cramped and the drink holders suck. The car is sort of comfortable on long drives and always gets me where I need to go. I will definitely consider purchasing another Volvo in the future. I do feel that my family is very safe riding in this car . I would recommend a Volvo to my family and friends any day.

A reliable full-sized sedan, no more no less.
A spacious car with plenty of get-up-and-go for long or shot distance trips. It is comfortable to drive long distances and doesn't use an exceptional amount of gas despite being both full-sized and turbo-charged. The only issues after 180,000 miles has been the transmission starting to become sluggish, and the struts needed replacing at 125k. No major repairs, no reliability issues at all.
