2005 Honda Civic
Overall this is a good car. Normally Honda cars will last a long time, with low maintenance costs. This is not the case for the 2005 year. This care broke down on me on three different times, and I took good care of the vehicle, changing oil when necessary, and keeping all maintenance appointments.

Sharp Edges
This car has done its job well with no unforeseen mechanical surprises. For its age, I can't complain. It has well over 150k miles and its only major replacement parts have been a clutch and radiator. Most of its miles are freeway and it gets decent gas mileage for its age at 27mpg hwy or so. The biggest con I have is a minor one with deteriorating door handle covers that are very sharp edges on something grabbed every time the car is used. I'm surprised at the maintenance costs being so low for its lifespan and the rear suspension is still in tact after all the overloaded situations I've put this car though. With three kids and trunk full of bags driven hours on the freeway so many times I feel like the ride of the car would have gotten worse by now, but it hasn't. The hydraulic clutch sometimes feels misaligned but everything still works well. The exterior paint is fading and the headlights are dulling but not to very noticeable levels.
