Solid mid-size ride
I was looking for something that I could tote some smaller pieces of wood working and equipment around in, as I am often finding myself in need of transporting materials. I didn't want another sedan, and a truck would have been too much on gas for my current tastes. The mid-size suv was the way to go for me, and the Honda CR-V seemed to fit the bill- and my wallet. It handles smoothly for an SUV, and I've never felt unsafe in the car. Overall, I'd say that it's going to be around for a while.

Great fit for a small family
I have had my CRV for five years and I still love it. We only have one child but we have been able to fit the three of us and way more baby gear than needed for every road trip including around the holidays when we were traveling with gifts for the family. The gas mileage is great for an SUV and it got an A safety rating from Consumer Reports so I know my family should be safe. I would not want anything bigger because I really like having the good gas mileage. I will say that it is not recommended for large families. Unfortunately, you can only put two car seats in the back and the middle is really uncomfortable if you have two car seats installed. Otherwise, it is perfect and has a lot of extras available if you want them. I do not know how I did without a backup camera and an in dash navigation system. It also rides really well. You do not feel every bump in the road. It feels like you are coasting down the road!
