Nissan Frontier Owner Reviews

2012 Nissan Frontier - Very Sturdy And Powerful Vehicle

Steph M from Adelphi, Maryland
5 stars
I liked the power of this truck, it has a lot of horsepower. The styling of the truck is aggressive, and very attractive appearance wise. It's comfort is great for a truck, the seats are soft but the rear could use some more leg room. The front is spacious, and the cabin itself is very broad. The trucks quality is very refined, it has an efficient engine output as well as great features like... (more)
Pros:
The major pros of this truck were its torque, which is a lot of the truck. Its second major pro was its horsepower, once it gets up to speed it is able to remain fast during driving. The bed of the truck is the last great pro of this vehicle, it has a great payload.
Cons:
The top negative things about this vehicle are its maintenance costs. It's drive belt wears prematurely, and the repair bill can become quite expensive. The leg room in the rear of the truck is another negative for this truck.

2011 Nissan Frontier - Suite My Needs

RM from Houston, Texas
5 stars
the seats are comfortable and durable, both the front and rear bench seating. the center console is convenient and has plenty of storage space for my needs. I like the color and overall appearance of the vehicle. the engine has plenty of power for me to do the things I need to do when driving. there is plenty of storage in the bed of the truck for what I need to haul. the gas mileage is a bit... (more)
Pros:
the interior of the vehicle is comfortable, durable and suits my needs. there is additional storage above the glove-box that I like and also enjoy the compartments under the rear seat with the nets. the rail system in the bed of the truck is handy. the height of the truck is also not too tall or too short.
Cons:
the gas mileage for the truck is not that great and wish it was better. cigarette port to the right of the console is not in a great spot, my passengers hit it with their knee when I have chargers plugged into it. there are not built-in usb charger, so I have to purchase and additional adapter. the iPod cable in the glove box is not recognized by my phone and only plays music using it own power... 2005 Nissan Frontier - This Is One Of The Best Vehicles I Have Ever Owned.

T from Alexandria, Louisiana
5 stars
I had an earlier model of this vehicle, which I liked very much. When it was time to trade it in, I decided to stay with Nissan. The price was right for me at the time as compared to the other models I was looking at. One of the other things that sold me on this truck was the front grill. I thought it looked very good. The truck had more pep than my first one did, which made me even more... (more)

2008 Nissan Frontier - Great Truck That Is Made Even Better With The 6' Bed.

BH from Millcreek, Utah
5 stars
My Frontier came at a great time in my life. I had just bought a new home and needed to do a bunch of remodeling. In order to haul away all the junk from the remodel, I needed a truck. But I also commute to work so I needed gas efficiency. This mid sized truck was the perfect compromise. It was a better choice than the Chevy Colorado because of the four wheel drive (I live where it snows), and... (more)
Pros:
I love the adjustable tie downs in the bed. I love that I got the extended 6 foot bed, because I could fit more in it and not have to buy a full sized truck. I love that it doesn't guzzle gas, ~20mpg is great for the size of the truck. I love that it is dependable (75k miles and no issues).
Cons:
Like I mentioned before, the only thing I dislike about the truck is that it has a very shallow turning radius.....makes parking very difficult at times. If I had to be very nit picky, I'd say the 4x4 was a little rough but I've never had a reason to complain about it. I love my truck!

2000 Nissan Frontier - The Nissan Frontier Has Served Me Well.

John from Nevada City, California
5 stars
This is a review of a 2000 Nissan Frontier. mine is the Crew Cab model, in four wheel drive. I got this pick-up truck used in about 2002, and have been driving it ever since. I have used it both as a work truck, and as my regular day to day transportation. I use the four wheel drive regularly in muddy or snowy conditions. This truck has been very reliable and has presented me with no real... (more)
Pros:
Very reliable. No major repairs have been needed, just replacing those parts which it is expected would need to be replaced due to normal wear and tear.
Cons:
The thing that does kind of bother me is that the seat-belt doesn't retract properly and just sorts off hangs there when you unbuckle it. I had another Nissan truck once and had the same problem. Also seems to consume more fuel than I would like when being driven on short trips.

2000 Nissan Frontier - Best Truck Ever.

Mlb from Jacksonville, Florida
5 stars
The Nissan Frontier is an amazing all around pickup truck. It has a very modern yet rugged design, and the accessories (such as the sidesteps and the roof rack) look terrific and provide great utility. When compared to it's major competitor, the Toyota Tacoma, it is an amazing quality for the lower price. Having experienced both the Tacoma and the Frontier, I see no reason to pay the extra... Pros:
This truck can be as basic as you want it, or as luxurious as you desire. I have mine equipped with a leather interior which looks great, is comfortable, and provides great resilience against my dog that is permanent company in the back seat. The seats in the front are adjustable, and the Crew Cab allows for a large backseat for my dog and for people. The added accessory of the tailgate... (more)
Cons:
I did go a little over the recommended tune-up mileage (115K/13 years), and my radiator did crack. However, it wasn't a very difficult replacement. Upon my purchase of the vehicle at 110K miles, the air conditioning system was already on it's way out and the cruise control was nonfunctional.

2011 Nissan Frontier - Overall Good, A Little Cramped For Space And I Do Not Like The Textured Plastic. Terrible Gas Mileage But Decent Engine Power.

DC from Fort Smith, Arkansas
4 stars
The truck has very good horsepower for a 6 cylinder engine but poor gas mileage. The center console is textured plastic which is prone to scratches. The handling is solid and great passing power. Outside trim is nice and the utility bed is convenient. Interior room may be a little cramped for taller people. The iPod dock would be appreciated for those that use apple products. Stereo sound is... (more)
Pros:
-Utility bed -Exterior Style (looks like a slightly smaller version of a full size truck) -Height of vehicle off of ground -Engine power (horsepower, mid-high end acceleration).
Cons:
-Gas Mileage -Interior textured plastic, especially center console lid. -Could use more seating space in front in addition to the back of the extended cab.

2000 Nissan Frontier - Frontier, Reliable Over The Years

TC from Nevada City, California
4 stars
I bought my 2000 Nissan Frontier used back in 2002. I still drive it and am not looking forward to getting rid of it. I have become very accustomed to driving it and it feels like a home away from home. My truck has the Crew Cab, and four wheel drive. In the years that I have had it I have really not had to do anything to it other than basic maintenance. This model came with air conditioning,... (more)
Pros:
Reliability is the best thing about this truck. I think that is probably the most important aspect of any vehicle, and this pick-up has given me no problems in that regard.
Cons:
Not really that many negative things about the truck. The one real gripe I would have is with the seat-belts. The seat-belts do not retract properly when you take them off, and tend to just hang there. I would like better gas mileage, but it is about in line with other comparable trucks.

2002 Nissan Frontier - Lots Of Room, Sporty, Runs Like A Champ

TM from Bloomington, Illinois
4 stars
I feel like this truck is an excellent value. For the price I paid, I got a lot of interior room and a large bed. It's a medium-sized truck, so I don't feel like I just came from a construction site, but it's not like a wimpy sporty truck either. It feels like driving a car, although the gas mileage and handling are not as good as what you would get in a mid-sized sedan. The vehicle is an... (more)
Pros:
There is lots of interior room without having to drive a huge vehicle. It runs really smooth, especially on the highway with the cruise control on. The truck needs only routine maintenance and the interior materials are very durable for someone who has a family. There is excellent visibility from the driver's vantage point, and it feels like driving a car.
Cons:
It has a long wheel base so it makes wide turns. It is not four wheel drive, which makes it difficult to get around when there is lots of snow on the road. The gas mileage is average or below average for an engine that is a little bit underpowered.

2006 Nissan Frontier - Just Alright

BW from Fort Worth, Texas
2 stars
The 2006 Nissan Frontier XE is a very basic, simple truck with which you get what you pay for. For the most part it is a decent vehicle, but my experience has been that it has repeated mechanical issues, especially with overheating, as it nears the 100,000 mile mark, despite following all of the manufacturer's suggestions for recommended maintenance. The flywheel also went out after just 60,000... (more)
