I am pleased that I have a dependable car.
I have had my Grand Prix now for about six years, and it is one of the most reliable cars I have ever had. I enjoy traveling all over the states because it rides so smooth and plenty powerful to beat other cars off the line. The things I have had problems with most are sensors going out. Also the molding on the doors mildew and come off, which are not replaceable. The interior is still in great shape and everything else works wonderfully. I love the amount of space I have in the car and the large trunk. I do photography and am able to put my entire studio in the back including my lighting and all. I have my back drops on large tubes and am able to fit them through the trunk hatch. This works out well for me. I just wish the car would last forever, I am not sure if the newer Pontiacs are as great as this one but it would be a car I would consider buying in the future. I have to say I do not like the color white on the car and wish my car would have been a different color. I find now that the paint job is not holding up and always looks dirty, even when I wash it. I also love that I can drive really far on one tank of gas.

Great first car
I own a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix. This was my first car, and we are going on ten years together. It is a very roomy and spacious car, plenty of room to have multiple passengers and can comfortably fit three car seats. The car is long and wide but solidly built. Even after a few minor collisions in learning to drive, the integrity of the car has stood. In the front, everything is well made and sturdy. Surrounding the engine and hood is similar to a tank. One pet peeve is the cup holders. I have replaced the entire midsection four times because the cup holders kept breaking. The electrics in the car aren't fabulous. For example, the lights malfunction like crazy, windows fritz out and decide not to open or close (electric not crank), and when it gets too hot, the clock and radio cease to work. It's got its own problems, but in reality, this car is 17 years old, been with me tern, and he's still going strong.
