Sporty, Comfortable and Safe
I would highly recommend the Subaru Crosstrek. Its design is sporty. Yet the price is reasonable and the safety features are impressive, making it a great vehicle choice for drivers of all ages. It is very fuel efficient for an AWD vehicle; I can easily get 35 mpg on the highway. Our winters are cold and I love that the heated seats are a standard feature. There is plenty of leg room for back seat passengers and the back seat has a split fold-down for additional cargo space. Crosstreks have something called Continuously Variable Transmission which lead to a very smooth ride and increased performance and mileage. Other than routine maintenance, I have had no problems with my Crosstrek. The Crosstrek is considered a crossover type vehicle in that it has features of both a car and an SUV. The frame height, body style and suspension package lend credibility to its off-road claims. As mentioned before, the interior is spacious and feature the little extras that make owning this vehicle a pleasure, including a dock with a USB adapter, plenty of outlets for electronics, plenty of cup holders, and even heated mirrors. A great ride at a great price.

Fun, friendly and functional
I love my Crosstrek and it proved itself last night. My daughter and I drove back and forth to a town in a neighboring state for a funeral service (~85 miles each way). There had been torrential rains and high wind all day and into the night... Falling trees, flooding, no visibility, sleet... Hands down, the scariest ride I have ever made. But, I always feel safe in a Subaru and I like that the Crosstrek sits a little higher... This was very important last evening as we drove through a LOT of water. Like my previous Legacy, I feel that the Crosstrek is a little slow on the pickup but mostly when it is cold. It has plenty of power and handles really well on the highway. It looks nice too and I get a lot of compliments on it.
