Acura has a long standing reputation for quality vehicles. This is what attracted me to their brand. I think most Acuras on the road are nice cars. After purchasing my car (2003 MDX) the transmission blew in a month. It was completely burned, and the dealership (not the one I bought from) told me thousands of 2003 MDX's have had trouble with their transmissions. I have also had numerous other cosmetic and mechanical problems with this car. It's a lemon. However, I would buy an Acura again because I know they are still a nice brand of car.
Story
My kids laughing at the DVD in the DVD player. And putting my new baby in it.
Pros
Size (I have three car seats). DVD Player. Acura Brand (I like the identity of this brand)
Cons
Transmission had to be replaced after owning it for a month. I bought used. It gets horrible mileage. Again due to age and it being a lemon. It had several manufacturer recalls that I had to have fixed.

Got my trade in appraised (very generous - slightly more than $1K above Kelly Blue Book high trade) while I test drove a few cars. Made my pick, took care of the paperwork and wrote the check.

The employees are extremely friendly. They don't act like typical car salesmen where they put a lot of pressure on you. If you have kids with you they hand out a lot of free stuff for the kids. They also have some of the cheapest prices in town. the car I bought is a 1993 but had less than 100,000 miles and looked and smelled like new.
