I have owned my 2003 Hummer H2 lux for nine years now. It is a very capable on- and off-road SUV with all the luxury comforts you have grown accustomed to in a vehicle. The powertrain provides plenty of power to move its massive body down the road with ease even when towing a load. The transmission shifts easily and smoothly. The rear air-ride suspension of the lux floats you comfortably on your journey no matter what the terrain. The interior is decked out with leather seating and plenty of eye appealing design. The H2 does get a bad wrap for its poor gas mileage, but it's not any worse than a 3/4 ton truck when pulling a load and only slightly worse than your average full-size SUV.
Story
My best memory was having the H2 packed with people and waiting in a long, long line to enter a muddy field they were using at an outdoor concert venue. Without hesitation, I ran through the ditch and easily made my way across the muddy field avoiding the long line. I passed numerous 2wd and 4wd vehicles that were having traction problems or had buried themselves. The H2 turns head not only wi... (more)
Pros
Pros include the unmistakable eye-catching square body design that turns heads every where you go. The rugged looks is comfortably offset by well-designed suspension and seating comfort.
Cons
A con includes, of course, the poor mpg. Let's be honest, if you can put neck-snapping torque and 29 mpg in a Corvette using the same power plant, you can surely stretch mpg to the 18-19 mpg range even when taking into account the poor aerodynamics of the H2. It's all in how the transmission and axles are geared. The only other con, in my opinion, is the grade of leather they use of the seats that eventually shows wear and age much quicker than those used by their competitors.

This Hummer is an okay vehicle. While it has some pros, there are quite a few cons as well. Because of this I find it hard to say you should for sure buy this. While it is not a big deal and a far cry from a failure, it could be better in so many ways. Overall, it is sort of a letdown for being a Hummer. It is the most iconic vehicle for almost the whole country so it is easy to see how it can be and viewed as a let down with the negatives present with it.
Story
The test drive.
Pros
It has some sort of good to it, and it is overall it is a sturdy and powerful vehicle, but it seems that power does come with a price for better or worse sadly. But it is not all doom and gloom because it can definitely last in the long term.
Cons
The cons are that the room is not that great. It has big seats but not much else, and it is just annoying and sort of grating to me. Another issue is the cost to maintain the vehicle as the gas cost is enormous.

2017 AM General Hummer - It is really good.
