2008 BMW 3 Series - Love the car but maintenance is too high.
I love how luxurious my car feels. The interior of the car is all leather and has a very sleek/elegant feeling. My car is a turbo and I'm able to switch over from regular drive to motor sport drive for more RPM's and faster acceleration. I absolutely love that and the heated seats. When I drive my car it feels very smooth and I don't feel the gears shifting at all unless I go into manual shifting. All of the extras that are fitting into my car are also a great bonus. There is a compass in my rear view mirror that helps me with directions when I'm lost. There is integrated Bluetooth for my phone and I really like having buttons on my steering wheel to control my music and phone calls. The auto tint on my mirrors at night so that I get a bright glare from other drivers who angle their he... (more)
Story
I ran out of gas on the highway and all I had to do was press the concierge button on my car and they sent a tow truck with gas. The service was free at the time but I did have to pay for the gas.
Pros
The feel and look of the car.
The heated seats.
The motor sport option.
$0 Cost maintenance for the first 4 years or 50,000 miles.
Cons
The high cost of maintenance.
The increased insurance rates.
1988 BMW 3 Series - Love of an old BMW
What a great vehicle. With over 300,000 miles on the odometer, the car still runs perfectly with its original engine and transmission. Some engine accessories have had to be replaced, but the engine itself is solid. The vehicle is fun to drive. It's hard to stay in a bad mood when getting behind the wheel. The handling is light and accurate. The suspension is stiff like a sports car should be but not punishing. Being a convertible, it is a joy to drop the top on warm days and drive with the wind in your hair. Despite its 30 years of age, the car still looks great. The paint has some scratches and dents here and there, as might be expected on a car with so many miles, but it doesn't detract from its beauty.
Story
Driving along a popular canyon road in Southern California on the weekends with the top down. I often feel like a celebrity due to all of the photographers taking pictures as I drive by.
Pros
Handling: Although a fairly simple suspension setup, the handling is predictable and true. It goes where you point it and is a joy to run through tight turns. Appearance: Classic '80s styling. The boxy little sedan has a certain timeless appeal, and many compliments are received when stopping for fuel or at the store. Safety: Although the car is from the era before airbags, it does have very efficient anti-lock brakes. I've viewed photos of many of these cars in accidents and they do a decent job of protecting the occupants.
Cons
Not everything is a bed of roses, however. The heated seats only work on 'high' setting. When driving with the top down, ear plugs are recommended, as the wind buffeting can hurt your ears.
The car is fairly low to the ground and can be difficult for older people to get into and out of.

I used Yelp to find T&L and all the hype is true. I have never had a mechanic shop go to such great lengths to save me money while fixing things right the first time and CALL on any change or choices to be made. Chris makes you feel like you are the only person in the world when he talks with you. You feel the sincerity in his demeanor when you talk with him. I had a tranny, exhaust and radiator fixed there.

They were very low pressure and helped me test drive way too many cars without getting annoyed with me. They gave me great financing options and offered actually useful add-ons and service features as a whole. I was relaxed purchasing with them and I typically hate going into car dealerships as a whole. I met the service manager whose name escapes me at the moment but he was very good in answering my questions and even offered a few things for free and said to call him in the future if I had any issues.
