Ultimate driving experience
The 328i is a solid car. Everything built on this car exudes quality. I feel that when I drive this car, I'm driving a machine, built exactly for the road. After driving it for more than 15,000 miles, everything is functioning in tip top shape, only requiring normal routine maintenance. The suspension of the 328i is tight for quick and sharp turns. The handling is the best of any car I have driven. If the sharp turns have you worried, the seats inflate and deflate to conform to your body so that you stay snug to the seat. There are three different drive modes in the vehicle: automatic, sport automatic, and manual. This allows the driver to customize the experience to their liking. Even though the 328 is sporty, it still gets 19 mpg in the city and up to 28 mpg on the highway. The sound system is superior to all of the cars I've owned previously. The leather inside the vehicle tops all, and with proper care, will last longer than any other car I know. The car has an advantage due to no spare tire in the trunk, which frees up more space. Instead, the 328i uses run flat tires, which, if punctured, allows you to drive on the tire for another 100 - 150 miles. I love to ride unicycles, so this allows me to fit multiple unicycles in the trunk no problem.

overall fine, too many repairs
I liked the interior trim when new. Real wood and leather and not much plastic and rather austere. However, I'm disappointed that the trim hasn't held up well over time. The armrest/console area has several nicks and heavy scratches and the finish has started to peel. I have seen much cheaper cars with a better looking console area after a similar amount of time and wear-and tear. Also, the head liner has begun to separate along the A pillar. Again, this is a fit and finish area where I expect a brand like BMW to perform better. The engine has been mostly fine. It has decent pick up but I have always been aware of just how heavy the car must be. The engine is big enough but only just. One problem that I recently encountered is with the front air dam/spoiler. Everyone is bound to hit a curb or a parking block now and again and that plus general use has caused the support brackets at the bottom of the air dam to break. This put all the weight of the dam on the top brackets. Those are made of plastic and the from bumper/dam began to droop and would even fall down (and nearly off) when driving. This is not safe.

This dealership was special because they sold BMW automobiles. Other dealerships had only a couple BMW in stock. It was nice to be able to choose from a variety of vehicles. . . new and used. They also were very professional and courteous in every way possible. I believe I was treated the same as a customer purchasing $50,000 car.
