1993 Buick Regal - Reliable with regular upkeep
I have owned a few different cars of the same make/model, and all of them have had very easy maintenance and upkeep. The parts that have worn out on the quick side were relatively easy to replace except the water pump which requires jacking up the engine. Overall smooth drive, kind of on the boat side but not as much as the '80s models.
Story
Brakes went out when someone walked in front of me. Locked the tires for a split second then pedal to the floor. I was able to avoid the person and make it to a parking space.
Pros
Spacious interior, power everything, and stock radio works very well. Large trunk space. Starts pretty reliably in the dead of winter. Strong engine with decent pickup speed for its size.
Cons
The bottom is rusting out, but it's over 20 years old, so that is to be expected. Turn radius isn't the greatest. Brakes wear out pretty quickly. Some of the fuel/brake lines were routed stupidly and mounted in such a way that they rusted through.
