Chevrolet Camaro Owner Ratings & Reviews

2012 Chevrolet Camaro - Not a bad car!
In 2012, I acquired my vehicle from a man whose daughter got too many speeding tickets within 6 months of ownership. I bought the vehicle with less then 1,000 miles and it's at around 50,000 now. So needless to say, this has actually outdone expectations. Usually, I do not have high expectations with cars anymore because they don't make them as nice as they used to, but this has ridden surprisingly well. I can definitely see why one could get speeding tickets as you can rarely tell how fast you are going. Luckily, there is a setting where you can have your dash beep at you if you have exceeded maximum speed. While I have found this car to be rather nice and enjoyable, I do have some complaints.
Story
Honestly, just driving this car on the highway is fun in itself. Especially with the new 70 mph. This car handles so well and has such speed that it is actually super fun to drive.
Pros
Accelerates pretty fast.
Backup camera.
Comfortable to sit in.
Nice features.
Great on gas.
Surprisingly large trunk for such a small car.
Rides nice.
Fun to drive.
Receive a lot of compliments.
Handles and turns well.
Nice luxury car.
Cons
Sits very low to ground. In some instances this is okay, however an inch of rain can send you into the guard rail.
Blind spots are terrible. Needed to go another way to work as I couldn't see out of the tiny windows in the back.
Not at all family friendly. Would not be able to have children and keep this car, as it would be impossible to put a car seat back there.
The back seat is pretty much useless when it comes to putting passengers back there. Backseat passengers need to spread their legs to the other side because there is no room.
2011 Chevrolet Camaro - This is the best car I've ever had.
The car is amazing. It has great handling with its wide tires in the back. All interior materials are in great condition despite having 80,000 miles. I have had 0 mechanical issues with the car since I bought it a year ago with 60,000 miles on it! The power is the only thing I am not too keen on, with it only putting 260 hp to the wheel and the thing weighs a ton it doesn't have very much torque, but what is lacks in torque it makes up with consistent hp throughout the RPM range. Overall car 8/10.
Story
I was racing on a track and it had just rained the night before. This caused the track to be click in a few areas. I was turning in hard on one of the corners and hit a puddle and started spinning out. By some miracle I spun twice and ended up the right way and I continued my lap like nothing happened.
Pros
Favorite feature has to be the traction control button right in front of the shift knob. Super easy to disable to really make the car fun. Can do a mean burnout as a result! I race competitively and I have abused the hell out of the car and it still runs like new. Chevy made a very quality product mechanically and ascetically. It is a great RWD performance vehicle.
Cons
The power, it has no torque! Don't get me wrong its quick, but a 0-60 time of 6 seconds is just not that fast. A lot of sedans can pull this feat off. Also putting the car into reverse is a nightmare. I feel like I am almost breaking the transmission with as much force I'm using to put it in reverse. Visibility is also the worst, can't see anything when reversing and has huge blind spots.
