The SS version with 5.7 V* is very quick. It accelerates effortlessly and is almost too quick, if you know what I mean. The engine is very smooth with no hesitation. The transmission shifts very quick and sometimes will chirp the tires. The overdrive mode drops the RPMs into a low range, but there is enough torque to overcome any lag. There is an Eco mode that drops four-cylinders, and it is audible when it happens. Not annoying, but it is noticeable. The ride is both good and bad. It is decent on most pavement but can get choppy in some situations.
