Reliable and Affordable
The Cobalt is really nice when it comes to gas mileage and being able to pick up speed. For a small car, the inside feels spacious and it has a nice trunk size. The interior is nice without much wear. There seem to be issues with the suspension which is a bit disappointing and there have been some minor fixes that were recalled. The headlights could be brighter, but that is an easy fix. The wipers seem to go bad quickly but it could just be the wipers. It gets warm really quick in winter and stays warm. It has an RDS receiver which I enjoy when listening to the radio. The power windows are nice but originally one of the back ones stopped going down and needed to be fixed. I haven't had that problem again. When the car needs maintenance, it is relatively affordable since it is a general vehicle. It gets the job done without emptying your wallet. I also really enjoy the daytime running lights and the fog lamps. You can never forget to turn on your lights since they come on automatically!

I love my Cobalt.
Each and every time I drive the Cobalt I enjoy the experience. The car literally sips gas, yet has plenty of spunk. I feel a tightness in construction. There are literally no rattles despite being several years old. The only issue was, as we all know, a required replacement of the ignition switch. The old switch worked fine, but it was a recall. Other than that, one check engine light when new for an O2 sensor...nothing since. No replacement parts that I can recall. It's still using most of the original fluids. Mechanic checks vehicle every six months. Using a blended synthetic oil. The size of trunk is amazing. I would actually purchase this same vehicle again if given the opportunity to find a new Cobalt. The car has Michelin radials, and the performance of the vehicle at highways speeds is literally effortless. Great vehicle in the snow and as mentioned, plenty of power on hills and merging and in higher speed traffic. Likely, the favorite commuting vehicle I have ever owned. I am planning to purchase as my next vehicle the closes thing to the Cobalt that Chevrolet now offers. Likely, a Malibu because of the past experience with the Cobalt.
