I very much like the look of my 2011 Chevy Cruze. It is, despite being eight years old, still a great looking car in terms of body style and overall longevity of the paint job. Though, I have had a lot of mechanical issues throughout the life of this car. All in all, it has been a good car, even though it has left me stranded on multiple occasions.
Story
In this car, I once was driving in a rural area and hit a deer (rear driver's side back sear). It was very shocking. The deer survived and there wasn't a scratch or dent or any noticeable indication that I had hit a deer.
Pros
This is a very visually appealing vehicle. The paint is still in great condition despite its age. I enjoy the features on the inside as well, such a the ability to answer calls through my phone's Bluetooth feature. I like that OnStar and satellite radio are integrated from the beginning. I enjoy the look of the interior seats (fabric) as they still look modern. The dashboard and console are both nice looking and are not dated at all. There are also great, mechanized controls for the driver's seat that allow total customization. I like that there is a compartment on the dashboard for the va... (more)
Cons
Though the seats do look nice. They are also very prone to showing all areas of dirt or spills. It is very difficult to remove a spot, even with an extractor. The seats have never really looked as great as they did in the beginning. There is an area of chrome that is beginning to peel on the inner door handles of both the driver and passenger side. It is also difficult to clean the dashboard as it seems as though anything and everything sticks to it. The mechanical issues I have faced with this car have been unmatched by any other car I have owned. It seems as if this thing is always bre... (more)

What I love most about this car is that it's a no-nonsense, practical car that gets me from point A to point B safely. It's reliable, affordable, and has acceptable fuel efficiency (~26 MPG combined) and standard (but capable) performance. I'm a simple person and don't like the modern bells and whistles like push-to-starts or touchscreens -- more stuff to go wrong, plus the touchscreens are distracting/dangerous, capture fingerprints, and simply aren't as fun as pressing buttons and turning dials. This model offers the touchscreen and buttons so drivers can have the best of both worlds!
Story
I enjoy every trip I take in my Cruze because it feels like I'm part of a tribe; Cruzes are everywhere! If you've ever driven on the 696 or 75 in Michigan, you know how crazy drivers can be, but it seems like there's an unspoken bond between the Cruze drivers. If I ever need to merge or pass, I know to look for one of my "tribe" because we have each other's backs.
Pros
It has a timeless, classic body with steering wheel controls, Bluetooth capabilities, and a high-quality backup camera. The trunk is massive and the car itself is very roomy for being a compact (borderline mid-sized) sedan; my father and brother are 6'8 and 6'4 respectively and love driving this car because the front seats slide all the way back, giving them more leg room than even our SUV! The car feels solidly built and safe, and I trust it will last me a long time. Maintenance is affordable, too.
Cons
The upholstery on the seats and dashboard has a mesh-like texture which makes it impossible to clean. It captures dust and if you ever try to scrub a spot out with a paper towel, forget it because the mesh acts like a sandpaper and makes a mess. The climate and radio dials have a textured rubber grip, which are also difficult to clean. The motor on the automatic windows is weak. If there is even a little bit of ice on your window, you will not be able to roll your window down. The blind spot is larger than I've had on cars in the past, so I installed my own blind spot mirrors. The rearview... (more)
