It was a good idea at the time.
So I originally bought this vehicle because of the gas mileage (35+ highway) and the space it had. Well, coming from a Ford Escape which was a V6 to this which is a V4, it has been a definite change. The pick up isn't the greatest, and I still think it has transmission issues even though when I took it to the dealership they couldn't find anything wrong with it. It jerks sometimes and hiccups when I am stopping. I think when the A/C is on it gets even worse. It definitely makes me nervous, but that is the only issue with it. Although I think it is a big one that I do not feel comfortable driving my car all the time. The jerking and hiccupping is very unsettling. Especially on a car that was new with 15 miles on it.

Excellent Family Vehicle!
The quality is amazing. It is very spacious and has accommodated my family's growth well. It drives smoothly and comfortably. It currently has almost 140,000 miles and is still running like the day we bought it. The engine is very quiet and we have yet to have any major problems. The engine is easy to navigate for an automotive novice such as myself. I get roughly 25 to 30 miles to the gallon, which is great considering the rising costs of fuel. The computer system is very basic, which is what I wanted considering that often times the car is fine but the computer has a glitch and causes avoidable repair costs. The system is easy to navigate and the computers tell you everything from tire pressure to oil life with a single button. I only have two minor complaints about the vehicle. There are no air vents in the back of the car so passengers in the back seats do not get air conditioning or heat as well. The other is that the equipment for changing a tire is a bit difficult to remove and use. The back seats do fold down to increase the storage room. The trunk area has plenty of storage room which makes it great for family road trips. I will most likely continue to drive this car for several more years.
