2000 Chevrolet Impala - A good workhorse car!
This is a very good car for those who just basically need something to get from place to place. We bought it with 190K miles on it, four years ago, and it has served us very well. The back seat has plenty of room for me to lift and load my wheelchair. Checking the transmission fluid is a breeze, though checking the oil can be troublesome when the dipstick does not want to go back in exactly the way it came out. I like how many of the control functions of the more luxurious features are easily accessed through the factory radio, including the oil change indication, the time, and the beeps when using the key fob.
Story
I have, on several occasions, found myself having to be sure to keep an eye on my speed, lest I find myself going quite a bit faster than I feel like I am.
Pros
This vehicle is quite roomy. I love the heated front seats, and the 3.8L engine gives it some decent acceleration, even if it's not up to sports car standards.
Cons
The trunk pneumatic lifters break too easily; I've had to replace one twice now. The security disable can be too easily tripped by a key not responding well enough to the RFID pulse. The lifters on the power windows can sometimes be balky and snap too easily.

Excellent vehicle overall. Attractive exterior design, strong engine paired with solid 6-speed transmission, decent fuel mileage on regular fuel, comfortable leather heated seats, lots of leg and head room, accessible controls.
Story
I have been on long road trips and forgotten some of the tiring parts where there has been a lot of boring road with nothing to look at. However, I think the journeys that people (I for one) forget are those that happen on a regular basis such as the daily commute to work.
Pros
Attractive exterior design, decent mileage.
Cons
Interior material quality is worse.
