Surprisingly reliable and comfortable
The body style of the 00-05 Chevrolet Impalas is very appealing and was used on particular race vehicles. It is a comfortable sedan that's commonly used as a multipurpose vehicle. It's great for transporting family/friends and has the ability to seat 5 passengers. It has a roomy trunk capable of holding just about anything you can think of. There were some common issues in the particular years for 00-05, including minor engine issues and transmission solenoid issues. The transmission is the weak link in these cars, but once rebuilt or upgraded to the heavy duty version, there weren't any other major issues. The acceleration is great, the suspension system is mediocre, the braking is comfortable and the handling is decent for the size of the vehicle. It is a safe, controllable car.

I went there to look around at cars and cam across a very honest and well spoken salesman. He didn't give me the runaround, and was honest about the issues the car did have. It's rare to find an honest salesman, and that's one of the reasons I loved the dealership. Another reason in addition to the quantity, is the quality. I work on cars as a side gig and have a good idea of when something is wrong, but these cars were near perfect. I eventually came across the Impala, took it for a test drive and loved it. At the price, I didn't have a choice but to buy it. I haven't had any issues with the car that are outside of the norm, and it has held up great.
