Great sedan.
I love this car, I was nervous at first because I have heard negative reviews for the never (2005-13) style Chevrolet Impala. I am a prior Impala owner, I have owned three other impalas, a 2001 impala with the 3.4 engine, this one had some issues with the electrical systems, a 2004 with the 3.4 engine, this one had a head gasket and transmission replacement. and finally I had a 2002 impala with the 3.8 motor, which I had heard was the best motor out there, so it was very coveted. But it also had some issues. I have almost had no issues with my newer 2006 model. this one has the 3.5 engine in it, and it seems to me to have just the right amount of get up and go, while still allowing for 26 mpg. I have only had this car for about a year, but I drive quite a bit for my commute and living in Minnesota, we all know about how the roads are. I never thought anything about taking my impala out. I love that it has remote start for cold days, and I can just point my remote at the car and it starts right up. the sound system is very nice. I am so happy that they returned to using a bench seat, makes it feel more comfortable.

Way too many problems.
I bought it thinking it was a reliable car. I was wrong, from day 1 I had electric problems. The dome light would stay on, sometimes it would go into security mode and not start. I'd have to wait for it to reset itself (about two hours) to start it. It left me stranded. I took it to the shop and the mechanic said it needed over $3,000 in repairs. Mind you it only had 40,000 miles. I decided to live with it until I was able to afford it. Also the struts were going out and some intake in the engine was leaking coolant. The mechanic said it's typical for these cars to leak after a certain amount of miles. That was a $600 repair. Garbage car.
