2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - 2008 Silverado: Pros and cons.
The overall styling of this model is very aesthetic, clean lines capture its bold essence without diminishing its simplicity. The color we chose is amazing for showing off all the right curves (teal). It has great horsepower. I can easily pass cars on the highway without becoming nervous. However, throughout the years, the everyday wear and tear has turned into a financial monstrosity. When one relay burns out, it seems two more go with it.
Story
We take our Silverado up to Kirwin (Meteetsee, Wyoming) camping every summer. You have to drive through multiple creeks and mud holes to get a good spot, and the vehicle always outperformed expectations.
Pros
The interior is comfortable and roomy when sitting up front. The XM radio and OnStar are also very nice aspects. The leather is quality and has not cracked, ripped or torn. The engine is just right for the amount of weight the truck has, and when pulling a camper or trailer, it has enough power to get the job done.
Cons
Unfortunately, as with most GM vehicles in the same year, our Silverado acts as though it is possessed. The lights flash, the music turns on and off, and it'll even continuously unlock your doors while driving. I know this is a known issue from having to replace parts myself after doing some research. It is amazing how many people this has happened to. However, I do think the problem is under wraps after fixing a grounding issue and a fuse attached to the firewall.
