I have driven this truck everywhere, from short drives in the rural countryside, to cross country road trips. It is stylish and fun to drive in any environment. I love the fact that it is 4-wheel drive which allows me to sometimes venture off the beaten path to explore all the beauty nature has to offer. The leather interior is roomy and comfortable and the exterior is stylish and attractive, yet rugged and serviceable enough for getting jobs done on the farm too.
Story
I own a horse. He is a Tennessee Walker and just a big spoiled baby. I use this truck to haul bales of hay and 50 pound bags of feed for him. Whenever I pull into the driveway, his ears perk up and he will look at the truck and whinny like he is wondering if I have anything for him.
Pros
I love the versatility of this truck. The 5.4L V-8 engine is never short on power. It offers a smooth ride on the highway and looks very stylish for cruising the city streets, yet it can be a real workhorse when it comes to getting chores done around the home or farm. Regardless of where your journey takes you, this truck has all the buttons, including a nice sound system, to get you there comfortably and safely.
Cons
The fuel economy isn't the greatest, however, considering the engine size and 4-wheel-drive capabilities, it isn't all that bad either. It is a flex-fuel vehicle, so that does give you some fuel alternatives. It's size/length can make it a little awkward in tight parking situations, but again, not bad for a full-size truck.

I love my 1998 Chevrolet K1500. Most of my previous vehicles have not lasted near as long as this truck has. The motor is a 5.7 (350), so it has plenty of power. It has 340,000 original miles on the odometer. She will soon need a new front end including suspension, but I must say, I have never had any major issues with it, and that fact alone, after about four years of ownership, has made me a Chevy believer.
Story
For Memorial day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day, my Chevrolet sported a flag pole in the bed with two flags (The American Flag and The POW Flag) flying. Everyone in Grayson County, Kentucky was supportive.
Pros
The durability of these trucks is beyond any other I have ever owned. The engine is relatively simple to work on, and I don't have to worry as much about electronics. There is an additional battery support in the engine compartment (my understanding is the same production line also released a diesel version of this truck) which makes adding additional accessories a breeze. The 4WD is strong.
Cons
I have typical problems with the gauge cluster. The only gauge that works is my oil and battery displays. Having four EPA Oxygen sensors is a pain. The only thing I have had real issues with is the ABS sensors in the front wheels. These things are irritating. Fuel mileage is not great.
