2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - Dependable, useful, great overall vehicle.

This vehicle was bought used, and it already had about 60,000 miles on it. It has run great the entire time I've had it, and my family has really put some miles in. We have done some medium maintenance such as replacing the tires and have only had to do one major maintenance which was replacing the front and rear ball joints (they were extremely worn). Overall though, it currently has over 200,000 miles on it, and still runs very well. It is very dependable which is my number one priority in a vehicle.
Story
This truck has been from Georgia to Colorado, New Jersey to Maine and just about everywhere in between. We drove it during our first move as well as our honeymoon. We brought our first dog home in it as well as our first child. Too many memories to pick just one!
Pros
It's a truck so the pros of course include its usefulness for hauling or moving. It has a nice sized back seat as well and sits a total of six people. I feel very safe driving this vehicle, and it has a four wheel drive option for really bad weather situations. The cab is very spacious and it has an extended bed which is also very useful.
Cons
The biggest drawback for this truck is the gas mileage. Of course it's a truck so right off the bat you aren't going to get great gas mileage out of it, however I do about 16 miles per gallon on average and I wish that number was more in the 20s. The only other con is that the front middle seat doesn't fold down and can only be removed by taking out the passenger or driver seat (which we have never done). Not a huge deal but it did make fitting a car seat rather challenging.

I love everything about my truck. It is built well and will handle anything that I throw at it. It is fast, powerful and is great off-road. It is also spacious and looks great for its age. It drives well with high miles. I don't plan to ever get rid of my truck. It was also very affordable when I bought it in 2012. In my opinion, it is the best-looking Silverado model.
Story
Getting stuck in the mud and having friends pull me out. Sitting in the back watching fireworks.
Pros
Four-wheel drive. Powerful V8 engine. Full-size bed. Extended cab. Great-looking truck.
Cons
Rides a little rough. Suspension is wearing out with high miles. Clear coat is coming off front bumper.
