This is the fourth Chevy truck that I have owed. Like the others, it is reliable. GM has done an excellent job with advancements in the 4.3L engine. They were able to coax an extra 70 hp. and 4 mpg than previous models with the same motor. The six speed transmission likely contributes to the added fuel economy, although the extra shifting feels like it interrupts the acceleration process.

The 2011 Chevrolet Silverado LT through 100,000 miles has been very dependable. There have been no problems with the structure of the vehicle over the past 6 years in which I have owned it. It is an extended cab model which provides extra room for transporting friends or family and has a sizable 6 1/2 foot long bed which is perfect for packing for trips to the outdoors or for hauling materials when working around the home. If the owner stays up with frequent oil changes, then I would not expect any significant difficulties with the vehicle in the long run.
