I LOVE IT
I think it is very well built and I've never had any problems with it. I live in the country and have put it to the test many times; it has never failed me. I love that it has 4 x 4. Has a lot of power so when I'm towing the boat or fish house I don't have to worry about not making it up a hill or breaking the drive shaft when pulling the boat out of the water. My suburban has plenty of room for my family of seven and our gear. I like the 4 x 4 auto switch. You turn that on and if tires start to slip it turns on the four wheel drive. When other cars are doing 10 MPH in the snow I'm doing 45. Gets ok gas mileage but could do better. Does not get good gas mileage when I'm hauling something by trailer. Do not like how the spare tire comes down on every Chevy that I've owned; the device for dropping the spare tire gets rusted an won't allow it to come down. I have been stuck several times because of that. Don't like that they install plastic door handles, since living in the North it gets cold and I've busted a few and they are not fun to replace. But all in all I won't buy any thing else. Chevy man through an through. The next vehicle I buy will be a Suburban.

The Chevrolet Suburban - the ultimate family vehicle.
I have owned my Chevy Suburban for more than 10 years, having purchased it to replace my first Chevy Suburban I initially purchased in the fall of 2000. It was that purchased that made me realize I would always own a Suburban, regardless of the size of my family. Six years later when I was replacing my first Suburban with my second, the upgrades over the years only made me happier with my decision. It drove so nicely and was practically silent on the road. By now we had grown to a family of seven, and we had plenty of room for everyone, with no crowding or fighting. The enormous space in the back was unbelievable and it came with a tow package as well. Yes, just as with my first Suburban, gas mileage was still an issue. However, with a family my size, there are always trade offs, and I was more than willing to pay for gas for the knowledge that my family was safe in a vehicle that I believed was well built for one thing, and secondly, that my family was seated in safely and packed in tightly. Especially considering I had two toddlers still in car seats and would be for some time. With the rear air conditioning, everyone was very comfortable and it made for calm and happy trips, be they short neighborhood drives or vacation trips. One great thing about my Suburban that makes me want to hang on to it is the ability to take out my bench seats. I have taken them out so many times to carry so many things: camping gear, moving boxes, ice chests, furniture, you name it, I've carried it in there. If it's messy, I just put tarps down. Who needs a truck when you've got a Suburban? It can tow and carry! It's worth every penny.
