The Chevy tracker is a very reliable car that can go the distance. The build is very sturdy and mine is going strong even after 120,000 miles. The interior is spacious and comfortable. The dual power outlets offer more than enough power to keep all my electronics going during the longest car trips. The vehicle handles very well in snowing conditions and off-road. This vehicle will handle anything you throw at it and then some.
Story
I was out in the woods and came across a truck stuck in a mud hole. The chevy tracker was more than capable of pulling him out. The truck owner was very surprised and embarrassed at the car that could.
Pros
It is the perfect size SUV. It is big enough to carry 5 people or several bikes. It is still small enough to get good gas mileage and be maneuverable in tight spaces. I really like the ease of all the functions like high beams and windshield wipers being so accessible. All the controls are well designed and placed. The interior is easy to clean and maintain and there are no hard to reach places. There is plenty of storage areas to keep snacks and gadgets. It has great power and the handling is excellent. Servicing the vehicle is easy and inexpensive to do. All minor work, like oil changes ... (more)
Cons
The looks and style are a little flat. The color choices could be a little more. The back seats do go down for more storage which is nice but it would be nice to have a little more room in the back. The glove compartment could use a little more space. There is barely enough room to store an owners manual and a wallet. The air conditioning works well but on hot days, it is hard to keep the car at a cool level without putting the level at max. No air vents in the back so it takes a while to cool the whole car. The windows go down the whole way in the back so that is an option.
