I have owned this car for 4 years and put over 65,000 miles on it. It has performed well in the winters of upstate New York and been a great family car overall. We are able to transport my entire family thanks to the third row seating as well as our dogs, cat and some adventure equipment. I am able to carry kayaks on the roof and tow trailers with my tow package. The car is versatile in that it looks like an SUV but handles like a sedan. The all wheel drive has been outstanding allowing for some off road driving. The hatch is designed to stay up which is great for cookouts, concerts, sporting events, camping, tail gating and going to the drive-in movies. The hatch has an automatic push button which makes it great for carrying groceries. All seats fold down making this a perfect vehicle for hauling small construction products. With all seats up the back hatch is fairly small but able to carry enough for a medium distance road trip. Gas mileage is fairly decent for both city and country driving. The back up camera is a neat addition.

Enough room for our family!
I went from a smaller vehicle into the Traverse. I have 2 kids both in car seats. The traverse is roomy enough for all of us that we don't feel claustrophobic being in the vehicle. Another important feature for me was the bucket seats for the passengers for the second row. This way the boys are not fighting with each other which means quieter car rides! The bucket seats also make having someone come with us and sit in the 3rd row actually possible. The vehicle rides smooth for an SUV. It actually handles nice in our Michigan winters. The weight of the vehicle with out being 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive seems to ground the car enough to give it great traction. Ah, trunk space. I needed this! I love the little hidden compartment in the trunk it is great to keep a spare change of clothes for the kids along with a hoodie for all 4 of us and a blanket out of the way. I have to keep a full size stroller in the car so the extra space in the trunk is great!
