My PT cruiser has been....Adequate. It has gotten me around, but I suspect it was not well maintained prior to my ownership, and it has had many malfunctions. It has always been a smooth ride, the seats comfy, and the heat warm...But the brakes have always left me feeling unsafe, and it is poor at acceleration.

Poor gas mileage for size

I have owned my Chrysler PT Cruiser for ten years. It has been reliable in that time. Not much has gone wrong with it. That being said, it gets miserable gas mileage (around 12MPG), which seems crazy for such a small vehicle. Also, since everything is tucked away so nicely, small repairs are astronomical in price. It looks really nice under the hood because everything is covered up. That being said, the water pump went out, and it cost $1,200 to fix because they had to pull the engine out to fix it.

The sales associate was extremely patient while I explained what features I felt were "must haves", even in a used car. He took the time to check their inventory to find the top 5 vehicles to show me what fell within my quoted price range. I drove all 5 before deciding on which one would work best for my needs. The entire dealership made me feel comfortable and relaxed with the entire process. There were no high pressure sales tactics and they even set up my insurance for me before I even left the lot!
