We purchased our PT Cruiser new in 2004; going from a full sized van to a smaller vehicle we were very pleasantly happy with the PT. Love the ease of driving around town and is very comfortable on the highway. My great grandchildren love riding in it, they call is "cool" and it's nickname is the "little red school bus". From driving the great grandkids to school and to baseball, from long trips to the smoky mountains, this little guy has performed admirably. With no more than routine maintenance and one set of new tires, our PT has been trouble free. Though our mileage is considered low, 60,000 miles for 10 years, the mileage does not reflect how hard we have worked this car; from hauling kids to hauling bricks and stone - always meeting the test. Still showing no signs of rust in any ... (more)
Story
Taking a car full of kids to school. I am a 77 year old great grandmother and I love taking the great grands and their friends to school in what is known as "the little red school bus".
Pros
Ease of driving; mileage; storage room; lack of need of maintenance.
Cons
Doesn't have automatic seat adjustment; A/C could be a little more powerful. Front panel under bumper rubs easily on curbing, etc.

My vehicle is a gold 2004 PT Cruiser. I like that it's a hatchback and sits up high. I hate the small back seat. I've had horrible times with the battery wires, with it overheating, with everything constantly falling apart despite constant maintenance.
Story
That time it completely overheated at a stoplight for no reason.
Pros
Hatchback, storage room up front, hatchback has a shelf.
Cons
Constantly needing maintenance, constantly falling apart, small backseat, can only fit two car seats, and not even another person in the extra seat.

They worked hard to find the right car for me and my wife. He gave us a great deal and listened to what we were looking for in a van.
