2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser - High maintenance, low quality car.
What I liked about the vehicle was that the paint was actually really nice. Whenever it was washed it was very reflective and had a really nice shade of red. The interior had a red dashboard and was reflective just like the outside and made it feel very luxurious. The steering wheel also had handles on the inside the made it easier to hold it. My favorite feature was that the front passenger seat would fold over making it so that the rear passenger seat could put their feet up or anyone could use the front passenger seat as a table. I did not like that the vehicle's engine was low in power and only was a 5 speed. The quality of the struts, motor mounts, and steering wheel were low. They did not last as long as the other cars I had. The vehicle had major maintenance problems sooner than... (more)
Story
I remember using the vehicle to go camping and the car carried everything I needed without difficulty. I was able to bring the things I needed and when I spilled something, I cleaned it easily because the seats where actually made pretty well.
Pros
My favorite feature was the front passenger seat that would fold down letting anyone use it as a table or foot stool. The vehicle also let you change the settings on locks, headlights, and horn whenever the vehicle was locked /unlocked. Another great feature was that the rear seats could come out so that I could use the vehicle solely for cargo.
Cons
The top negative things about this vehicle were that it was low in horsepower and not enough gears in the transmission that the vehicle was too heavy for the engine and therefore resulted in slow acceleration, especially going on inclines. Also, the vehicle had horrendous mpg output. I would get around 22/24 mpg anywhere I drove it, even when I tried to keep rpms low. One of the letters on the back that said the trim of the vehicle also fell off, which means the quality to detail was low. Several performance things had failed on the vehicle much sooner than I was used to with my other vehi... (more)
2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser - Great car for town driving!
The PT cruiser is an amazing car! I'm typically a driver just in town to and from work and the car can usually use one tank of gas for two weeks. Not only that but it can take a 8 hour drive amazingly. I have never experienced any technical issues with the car except when in an accident which is obviously not the cars fault. The car has fantastic seats as well. They are comfortable regardless if you are sitting in the drivers seat or in the back seat. The car also has a unique style that no other car compares too. It's style is just gorgeous. The slight decline from the trunk to the front is beautiful. And the large back of the car means the trunk is going to be huge! Not only is there plenty of room in the trunk the back bench seat folds down for even more storage! As a person who oft... (more)
Story
This car often draws attention. Apparently people with PT cruisers have clubs! I was at the gas station and 3 other pt. cruiser drove up. They all approached me with a card about their club and asked me to join. I thought it was hilarious.
Pros
The top positive things of the car are the styling of the car, the drive, the way it conserves gas, and the storage.
Cons
The back lights go out often!
