2010 Chrysler Sebring - A good car for a good price
When I bought this car, I had less than 24 hours to choose. My previous car's engine ate a spark plug (literally!) and therefore left me without a car. I bought this car the very next day and overall I chose well. The color is black with a metallic flake in the color that gives it a sparkle in sunlight. The interior color is a light tan, almost creme color. The light interior really stands out. Given that this is the Limited Edition, the interior is leather and has a luxurious feel to it. The car seats are comfortable. There is plenty of room for up to 4 average sized adults in the car. The trunk is a good size and can hold all of the baggage of 2 adults when they go on a road trip (as has happened a number of times). For the very most part the car starts immediately on the first try a... (more)
Story
This is more memorable than fun:
The most memorable story actually takes place the day before I bought the car. My purchase of the car was the conclusion of this story. My previous car was a 1998 Dodge Stratus which I bought with only 200 miles on it. I absolutely loved that car. It has less than 100,000 miles on it when the engine ate the spark plug which totally destroyed the engine.
I... (more)
Pros
The fact that it starts on the very first try the very vast majority of the time is perhaps my favorite feature. I don't really need fancy, I just need to be able to depend on my car. I live in Western New York. In winter, my other half and I love the heated front seats. Those seats warm up quickly! When combined with the heater which takes only 3 or 4 minutes to start putting out plenty of heat, make the interior cabin comfortable in the winter time. In the summer, even on the hottest of days, the air conditioning starts putting out cool air in 5 minutes or less. The gas mileage is nice. ... (more)
Cons
If I had more time to decide on a new car, I would have probably bought this model, only I would have chosen to go with the larger engine. My car has the smallest engine of the three sizes available. That means on hills, especially if the air conditioning is going, performance can suffer. The doors are thicker than my previous car, by over an inch. Why is this a con? That means it requires me to open my door wider before I can get out of the car. in a tight spot such as the parking lots at work, that can be a challenge. The interior of the driver's side door as well as the center console a... (more)
