Initially, we began looking for a vehicle that would fit three car seats due to the addition of another child to our family. We came to find that the Chrysler Town and Country fit the bill nicely. The quality of leather in the van allows for durability and easy clean up, which are valuable traits for a car transporting children all the time. The entertainment package has been wonderful, with three DVD screens available in the vehicle and a player, along with our access to satellite radio. Stereo and speaker quality is also exceptional. We fell in love with the stow and go seating function of the van, which allows us to stow our second and third row seating to allow for a flat and open space to use. We've transported numerous large items easily due to this function. The storage tha... (more)
Story
We took our first road trip in our minivan to go and look for a Christmas tree in the New Mexico mountains. It was quite the adventure to made the drive and use our DVD player for the kids and enjoy the satellite radio in areas where regular stations weren't available. But it was something else to be able to strap that tree to our roof and make our way home knowing that we experienced someth... (more)
Pros
Our favorite feature of the vehicle is the remote starter. This has made life so easy for us and is a really novel feature to have in a vehicle. Also, the entertainment package rates very high up on our pros list simply because it has allowed us to add an additional component of comfort and leisure for our children. Additionally, the built-in back-up camera has been invaluable to us since we are parents and had wanted to have this specific feature in order to ensure our children's safety due to us driving a larger, higher profile vehicle that doesn't always allow for clear visibility in... Cons
One negative was that it doesn't have a particularly strong engine. I preferred a bit more giddy-up in our previous vehicles and have had to make peace with the fact that the van moves at the pace it does which, on-the-whole, isn't horrible. Also, the third row seating doesn't allow for a tremendous amount of leg room for passengers, especially those who are taller. It does take a bit of effort for an adult to move through the vehicle to get to the third row.

The Chrysler Town and Country has been my first minivan and I am thrilled to say that it won't be my last. I purchased it in 2007, when it was 3 years old. I have never, ever had problems with the engine. In fact, the interior has held up remarkably over all of these years, as well. I had never owned a Chrysler before this and was very pleasantly surprised by the durability of this vehicle. In fact, for the last two years, when one might baby a car approaching 80,000 miles, I took a job which caused me to drive over 40,000 miles in one year. The van held up without issue. I do not think I will ever get rid of this vehicle. I will probably drive it from time to time just to see how long I can keep it going! Perhaps that means handing it off to one of my children, but I'm not sure I can ... (more)
Story
I have driven this vehicle across the country, at times even sleeping in the back. It wasn't the best night's sleep, but it was safe and better than nothing!
Pros
I loved the reliability of this vehicle. It is sturdy, well made, comfortably seats seven and is perfect for road trips or in-town driving. My van has lasted 13 years with no issues.
Cons
I feel that the 2004 Chrysler Town and Country does not corner "on a dime". It does not have a tight turn radius. It also does not jump into acceleration the way larger engines do. My van was a 6 cylinder, and took a while to gain speed when merging onto a freeway.
