Disappointed
When I first purchased this vehicle I was extremely happy with it. It had about 30,000 miles and ran perfectly. The interior was real nice, electronic windows, locks and mirrors all worked perfectly. About a year into driving the vehicle the panels holding the window and lock switches popped out of the door. I had to essentially glue them back into place. The plastic finish on all the interior panels began to come loose and tear, the driver seat fabric began to rip as well. All of this was with less than 50,000 miles on the vehicle. About a year after I began to have a lot of random issues with the truck. The first thing I had to fix was an airbag sensor in the passenger seat that was causing the vehicle to register an air bag warning. Several months later it developed an exhaust leak on the manifold. The latest issue to spring up is that power mirrors no longer adjust when using the controls.
Over all I'd give this vehicle a 3 out of 5 since these are all relatively minor problems, but I did expect more out of Dodge.

love it!
I have had this truck for a little over two years now and i absolutely love it! I am definitely a dodge girl. I love the power windows and locks(as my old truck did not have those things). There really is not anything I do not like about my dodge Dakota. It is blue which is great because that is my favorite color. I got it used at a dealership and they just happened to have one in the color i like! It is very comfortable to drive and i can even adjust the height of the seat and the tilt if the seat. it is all electronic. It has plenty of room as it has a back seat, which I do not really use for anything except groceries and junk. The bed is good size for if I need to move anything. I have not noticed any odd or unusual noises or blind spots even. It has not been in the shop for anything other than normal oil changes and what not. It is a really great vehicle. It has four wheel drive which is perfect for winter and the brakes work great. I feel very safe driving my truck. It also has an anti roll bar installed in it. The only thing bad about it is the gas mileage does stink as it only get about 20 per gallon.

Replace Rotors and AC Blower Motor a few times in 7 years
I like my 2004 Dodge Dakota SXT club cab for a few reasons. The exterior was good looking. I did not like the newer 2005 models. It was in my price range. I like the color (black). The cloth seats are comfortable. You wont stick to these in the summer time. It has enough room for a BIG person. It drives like a mini van or larger car. Its raised a little bit off the ground so its better for you to see the road. It wasn't big enough to carry a lot of friends in. This was a PLUS! Just enough room for girlfriend, groceries, 2 20 inch subs and an amp in the back. It has a little smaller than normal truck bed since it has an extended cab. The bed came with a liner. The quality of the vehicle overall is good. I have put on around seventy eight thousand miles on it. It has been in the shop a few times for replacement brake rotors. I was told that this is an issue with this particular vehicle. The blower motor has gone out three times in the past nine years as well. Rear wheel drive is fun in the winter. Make sure to get some sandbags for the back so you can grip the road better. I like my 2004 Dodge Dakota SXT club cab!
