Reliable practical not too expensive vehicle
The RAV 4 has had no unexpected problems. Just common fixes brakes, tires, etc. I'm at 160,000 miles and its still going strong as did my one before this. Doesn't have the greatest pick up but the engine is small and that conserves gas. A major complaint is inner cabin noise. And when I first drove this car home which was an hour drive it was a little bothersome but after having it awhile it becomes unrecognizable especially if the radio is on. It has a hookup for mp3 which was a huge bonus back in 2006. It's AWD and handles very well in the snow and ice. On my 2000 the doors licked automatically this one they don't which is actually a feature I miss. Overall this is an excellent vehicle I have put barely any money into it and the price is reasonable.

Great Vehicle, Toyota Girl for Life Thanks to This Beast!
I love my silver Toyota rav4. This is an exceptional vehicle! The gas mileage is not as bad as many other vehicles that are of the same style. The outside of the vehicle has little to no rust and has stayed in great condition despite the weather in the area. I have had no major issues with the vehicle and would recommend it for friends and family! I have driven it daily for the past six months since I got it and have put 30,000 miles on it in this amount of time and it has handled the wear and tear exceptionally well. It has great assets such as the CD player, cruise control, automatic windows and locks, cassette player, cigarette lighter plug, and lots of storage space. I like the size of the vehicle. The backseats fold both up and down and can create room for many items. I have fit TVs, tables, desks, and a few other big items in the back of mine. It is very effective for my camping gear and with the 4 wheel drive I am able to go camping on rough terrain and drive my vehicle to my spot. It is nice for big families with five places to sit and nice for travelers with a heavy load to move. I moved into my new place much quicker in this vehicle than I have in the past due to the ability to hold so many items and create sufficient space. The spare tire is on the back of the vehicle and allows me to have more space inside the car, but also safe with a spare in case of a flat. Although I've ran it pretty hard, it has held up nicely. The struts and tires are the only things that have needed changed. My air conditioner finally stopped working the other day, but this is only a minor issue and one of the first I have had so I cannot complain. It has plenty of power and is the perfect size. I would definitely buy another vehicle of this make and model in the future when this one finally gives out. It is currently at 112,000 miles and still runs like it did the day I bought it.

A reliable car that has more versatility than the average vehicle.
I have owned the vehicle since about 2007 and it has mostly been reliable. I have recently trying to take better care of it; but there was a period of about a year where I didn't change the oil. It turned out alright, and I have had a few parts replaced, which is to be expected for a car over ten years old (you can keep the repair costs down by being smart and doing some work on the car by yourself). I like the fact that I haven't had any real flaws in the vehicle design unlike some of the newer RAV4s. I believe the vehicle is fairly safe and I do like the fact that I am sitting up higher than other cars. The vehicle is basically similar to other SUVs on the market today, just not with as many features. I mean the gas mileage is pretty standard. It's an all wheel drive with, I believe a v6 engine. No real noticeable blind spots, the breaking, acceleration and handling have deteriorated since I bought it, but it still has enough power and runs fairly smoothly. I feel that it's a good quality brand, and if maintained correctly, could last for a good number of years. I think the maintenance costs have been around what I expect, especially for an older car. I have been pretty lucky. On the interior, it has adequate space in the rear (my aunt has a newer one with more cargo space). It has gray leather seats, and the front ones recline. The back bench seating can be at least folded over. Not sure if they can be removed, but I have folded them over many a time to help my aunt move. I find the ride to be fairly comfortable, and I like the interior design. There's a storage compartment on the bottom of both the passenger and driver side. Two cup holders in the middle and various pullout compartments. It also has a small middle storage box in between the driver and passenger seat, which also holds two cup holders for the back.
