This van is a trooper, and is over a hundred thousand miles. It has been there for us as we needed it for almost nine years now as I bought it in 2009. I like sitting up higher than regular cars when traveling so I can see ahead better, and the kids love the did player on road trips. It is front wheel drive and handles easily in all different weather conditions.
Story
Taking a bunch of teens to a progressive dinner. Starting with appetizers at one house, then traveling to the next houses for the next courses of a meal. The van provided rides for 7 teens and every time we departed the van at each house there was so much laughter.
Pros
I love how we can fold the seats down, and take the middle and back row seats out completely. It is great for hauling stuff or for camping. The seats are great around a camp fire and the empty cargo accommodates a queen size mattress. We use mosquito netting and turn off interior auxiliary and sleep to the sounds of nature. Being able to strap all of our luggage on top of the van is wonderful.
Cons
I have always wished to have darker window tinting on the front windows. It would be wonderful to have satellite radio. Leather upholstery would be wonderful with heated seats. More air vents for the back of the van would circulate heat and air more efficiently. The auto door motor has gone out several times and the auto widows are lagging but still work.

I was 16 when I was given my van as a gift from my parents. It was the old family car that wasn't being driven. It lasted until 2009 when it finally got at knock in the engine and it wasn't worth getting it fixed. For the purpose that my parents bought it, it did VERY well. it had plenty of room for the entire family to go on vacation and room for everyone to keep their things.
Story
Because I was one of the only people in my school of 4,000 people to drive a mini van I would always be the driver. All of my friends and I could ride together. One of my friend's wasn't allowed to have parties inside his home. So instead we would park in the cul-de-sac in front of his house and all sit with the doors open and hang out. Now that I'm almost 27 years old I really do miss my van.... (more)
Pros
It was safe. I live in the mountains of Tennessee with many curvy roads and even going at a faster speed it didn't feel like it would roll over. Also because it was so big I felt that if I ever were to get in an accident then I would be safer than if I were in other vehicles. I always had plenty of room for all of my friends. There was nothing too serious that happened mechanically so I didn't have to spend a large amount fixing it. It had over 200,000 miles before anything major happened (the knocking) and it was 15 years old at that point.
Cons
There were probably more than are reasonably relevant, because I was very embarrassed driving it as my 1st car. Most of my friends and peers had nicer cars. Some weird quirks it had was during the winter when it was cold the radio wouldn't work. The combo tape player/radio, the tape player would act like it need to eject a tape. (there was no tape.). It was a v6 so I did have to spend a lot on gas about $15 per day and I would drive maybe about 30 miles a day. Also the spare tire became rusted to the frame, but that was due to neglect on maintenance.
