2016 Dodge Caravan - Great family hauler
This minivan can really perform! The V6 engine feels more than capable, and the options in the van are comparable to the Chrysler Town & Country base model. Love the leather and suede seats, and the heated steering wheel makes winters more bearable. The climate control performs perfectly, keeping everyone comfortable. The included DVD system makes camping trips fun.
Story
We absolutely loved having the van for a night at the drive-in movie theater. We were able to fold all the seats flat and made up a pallet bed where we would watch the movie. Put up the window shades for a bit of privacy while still having the windows down for the cooling breeze. It was a great night!
Pros
Lots of space to haul family, dogs, and equipment. We were able to bring home our new washing machine, go on a family vacation, bring home new plants and household goods from the hardware store all without sacrificing space. The stow-and-go seating is what sold me on a Dodge versus the other models out there.
Cons
Gas mileage tends to be not as great, especially in the city. The extra weight of the seats brings down the vehicles tow rating. Also, to get a nice readout and compass on the dash, you have to go to the SXT model (top of the line).
2007 Dodge Caravan - My Dodge Caravan
I like my Dodge Caravan. It has three rows of seats. It has plenty of room for car seats. You can put plenty of bags in the back. It lasts a long time.
Pros
It has plenty of cup holders in it. It holds at least seven people. It has two sliding doors. It gets good gas millage. It is very economical.
Cons
Check engine light is always on. It is hard to pump gas in it. It keeps shutting off and on when you try to put gas in it. It needs new tires. It could use a paint job.
