We have really enjoyed our 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. We have the SXT version with a few more of the updates. It's great. We love how it can easily fit our family of 6. The gas mileage that we get with it is pretty good as well. One of the negative we noticed is that the front fender is just made of cheap plastic. We live in Michigan and in the winter time if we bump into a pile of snow the fender just cracks with the cold temps.
Story
We love to put music on and have everyone sing along together as we drive around town.
Pros
We really like the automatic sliding doors. We also love the stow and go storage. It's really handy. The car is very reliable, haven't really had too many repairs to make so I would say it's durable. Also love how quiet it sounds on the road.
Cons
Like I stated before, the front fender is very low to the ground and made of a cheap plastic that is not durable at all. We already had to have it fixed. The space in the trunk is not great either but the stow and go seats helps to make up for it. It's also not a great car in the snow as there is no 4 wheel drive so I don't feel safe having my wife drive it in bad conditions in the winter.

2001 Dodge Grand Caravan - A good value

My Dodge Grand Caravan is an oldie but a goodie. It has survived two owners, both of which had carpooling responsibilities for groups of children and teens. There is ample space in this vehicle for that purpose. The vehicle also has removable rear seating for hauling pretty much anything one could imagine, including a ten-foot ladder and sheets of OSB.
Story
We use our Dodge Grand Caravan for fishing trips. The one that stands out in my mind is when my daughter caught her first cat fish and tried to smuggle it home by hiding it in her tackle box.
Pros
There is enough space in this vehicle, with the rear seat removed, to pack an entire bedroom—dresser, chair, bed frame, box spring and mattress. This is an impressive feat for any vehicle that is not a truck. The seating is very comfortable, and there is plenty of legroom to seat the full seven possible occupants. There is separate controls for the rear heating/cooling vents.
Cons
The rear seat, and the two bucket seats, are impossible to remove by oneself. The task requires at least two people but four has been the ideal. Once they are removed, they are exceedingly heavy. Returning them to the vehicle is likewise a painstaking task, requiring at least two people, if not more. There is no floor mounted console/drink holders, etc., so anything that is in the back slides all the way the front in the event of a hard stop.
