Rusty but dependable
Dodge was nice on the inside when purchased. It had a movie player in roof and a decent stereo. We purchased it because we thought we needed a bigger vehicle because our family was growing. It got nice gas mileage on the highway and never got too hot on the inside because the interior was tan. We haven't had to do much with updates. Every few years tires, brakes, and shocks. We do an oil change every 3,000 miles. It has been to Iowa from Minnesota and back a few times.

Grand Caravan: The perfect family vehicle!
My family purchased our second Dodge Grand Caravan about three years ago after we outgrew our first. The first is still kicking' after nearly 300,000 miles and sixteen moves to different homes. It's just nearing the end of life, and we needed something more consistent. We lovingly refer to the original as old' faithful. Our second Dodge Grand Caravan was purchased used from a dealer for about $3k (a GREAT deal for the quality!). Gas mileage isn't perfect ,but it's great for a van, and we have no complaints about it. We've had to do normal maintenance and fix-ups but nothing terribly complicated or expensive, and most were due to lack of routine care on our end. The exterior is shiny and looks good (when it isn't caked in mud from our trips in the country!), and what the interior lacks in looks, more than makes up for in comfort! I have taken many a road trip asleep on those seats and would absolutely do it again. The only issue we have is that the side doors are automatic and extremely hard to open manually. The button to get out manually gets stuck. In addition to that, when we bought it, the automated door on the left side was broken, so the only way to get out if you're on that side, is to have the driver open the door from the outside. We suspect it was due to misuse from previous owners, but we've been unable to fix it. Aside from that, we haven't had any problems with it, and I plan to buy another one when this one bites the dust (many years from now).
