For the most part, it's a good car. I have a 2007 Impala, and it's still holding it and driving smooth. I had a 2004 Impala prior, and I had to replace the transmission. Once I reached 120,000 miles on my current Impala, I had to replace the transmission on this one also. So maybe the transmission gives out on a certain mileage. But other than the transmission issue, Impalas drive smooth and crank up every time. For the price of the car, it's pretty decent.

The ride is so smooth and comfortable, we get a lot of compliments on how nice our car rides. We love that there is enough room for all of our friends, as well as our four legged friends. There is enough trunk space for us to take our bikes with us on trips to the mountains. In the five years that we have owned the vehicle, there have been very few mechanical issues with it. Cosmetically our car is appealing and we have had no issues with rust, or peeling of paint. One of the best parts about our impala is how great it is on gas mileage. We used to own an SUV and since switching to our impala we have saved so much money! I drive our impala two hours a day to and from work so the money saved in gas is a huge deal. If you are looking for a great car for either a starter car or a family car, the Chevrolet impala is a great option!
