I have owned my Ford Escape for four years, and it is a very reliable, roomy truck for my family. I love that it gets decent gas mileage for a mid-size SUV and that it has enough front and back seat room without compromising trunk space. We were able to comfortably go on a family vacation with baby gear without being cramped. One thing I do find is an issue is in the starter. There are times where the truck will not start unless the wheel is pulled down. Mechanics have looked at it, and the starter and a few other things have been replaced, but the issue continues. There was also a transmission issue, and a new transmission was put in the vehicle under warranty. Since then the truck drives like a dream. It has excellent performance, even in ice and snow and can easily and effectively drive on non-paved surfaces.
