The 2002 Ford Explorer provides a smooth ride. You don't notice the bumps in the road hardly at all. I don't like that the seats are leather because if it's really hot outside, you burn your skin or of it's cold you're skin is really cold. There's a third row of seats which is really convenient for family trips with extended family. They were foldable so it was convenient for extra space for other stuff as well, however, the seats got stuck after a few years and I've never been able to get them to come back up. The battery that came in the truck has up for a pretty long while but I've had to replace it within the last couple of years. The breaks, surprisingly, held on for a long time but I replaced them, as well just in case. The interior started to wrinkle and crack when it sat down for half a year, mostly summer months.

The 2002 Ford Explorer has been a great vehicle both on and off-road. The push button 4x4 is a good feature provided by ford. This has been a great family vehicle with lots of room. The 3rd row seating is a must have. The seats in this explorer lay down to give extra room when you need some extra space for groceries or whatever you need to store inside. This explorer is a v8 and has all the power needed while getting good gas mileage. This Ford Explorer gets between 16 and 22 miles per gallon. As far as hauling or pulling a load this explorer does not disappoint. I have hauled boats, campers and lawn care equipment with this vehicle. I have enjoyed owning and driving this vehicle and would recommend it to any one looking for a older SUV.
