The Ford Focus hatchback is a much better car than I was expecting. Getting in the car, the first thing I noticed was the roomy feel. The seats are very comfortable. The dashboard has everything conveniently located. I have been impressed with gas mileage. This car currently has 148,000 miles of which I am responsible for 32,000. In the three years I have owned this old model, I have needed a few repairs. The front breaks were replaced this past year, and the air conditioning needs a charge each summer. One of the best features of the car is the hatchback. There is a cover that hides the contents of the hatchback. The cover can also be removed to allow for bigger items. The back seats fold down as well, so long items can be accommodated. It is a solid ride. Since it is an older car, it does not have the electronic gadgets of the newer cars, but the gadgets it did come with still work. The CD player, clock, and car lighter all function. The exterior of the car is still very modern. It looks a bit like a mini SUV.

I bought this car because we needed a car. We have a family of four, and while the children were young, it was perfect compact car. However, when our kids became teenagers, the compact car became a little tight squeeze. With over 150,000 miles on it, and buying the car new, it still runs great. I know a lot of cars that start to act up after 100,000 miles, but this car keeps on going.
