When I first saw the Hyundai Sonata I thought maybe it was too big of a car for me. I've always favored small compact cars. When I test drove it that thinking changed, it drives like a small car. Very easy to handle, nicely insulated against outside noises and very aesthetically pleasing. This car allowed me to go back to school in the next county, so reliability was a must and it is very much that! I love the long drives listening to the great radio and the speakers were superb. Everything I wanted was standard so that was a plus!

When I first climbed into this car for a test drive, I knew I was going to like it. It was much like a Toyota Camry, but with a cost significantly less. After I cranked the engine I couldn't hear it idling. It drove smoothly and the transmission shifted with effort. I decided it was the perfect sedan for me, so I purchased it on the spot. In its first year of life this vehicle had been a rental car at Hertz. But it felt and behaved brand new to me. I really would have preferred a four-cylinder engine, but the only stock available had 6-cylinder engines. So that's what I purchased. That was only a minor deviation from my original plan. Now, I've had the car for nearly twelve years and it still drives like new and has proven extremely reliable. About all I do in the way of regular maintenance is have the oil changed periodically. I would certainly consider buying another when I finally decide to part with this one.
