The car has been good to me overall. It is very reliable and have only had to do a couple cheap fixes on it - nothing too costly. I bought it used and have had a good experience with that. However, it is best if you have someone that is handy with cars living in the house to do these cheap repairs because I could imagine it getting expensive if taking it to a mechanic several times.

I test drove this car, and the Lexus 250IS before deciding to buy the BMW. The Lexus was "nice" but nothing special, and both cars were well-made and reliable, both with good estimated resale values. After driving the Lexus, my husband and I went to the BMW dealer to drive this car. The styling, the sound, the similar price, the 4 maintenance plan offered, and ESPECIALLY the driving experience made the BMW the obvious choice. In my price range, it really is the Ultimate Driving Machine.
