I own a used, high-mileage (135,000 miles) Nissan Sentra GXE. Overall, I would give it a fair to good rating. I think the quality of the manufacturing has been decent. I do note some things though have a "cheap" feel to it, but I regard that as Nissan's effort to keep the price down. Although, they could have still done better in some areas. The material inside seem to have been preserved nicely, with some minor blemishes that I will assume caused by previous owner(s). The "cockpit" is simple with no fancy technical items such as computer screen, etc. All of the basic instruments and gadgets are there and all function as built. The stereo system on my car is a simple AM/FM and CD player that was installed by previous owner. I think the styling is basically attractive. (After all, it is basically a small sedan.) I do catch myself sometimes thinking that it's a good looking vehicle. The comfort of the vehicle is minimal like most small cars. You do feel most of the bumps you go over but I was not expecting anything else. On smooth pavement, the ride is VERY smooth. Of course much of that has to do with tires, alignment, etc. The engine seems very sound although I have had to replace starter, battery (normal), serpent belt, adjust the belts twice, headlight (normal), tires (normal). Nothing too extreme and mostly things that one would expect from a small car. One thing that is a "nugget" is the trunk size. It is way bigger than one would expect from this vehicle.

The car has been decent, although we've only had it for the past three months and the check engine light is already on and off most days. We've had to change the tires and have an alignment and some other work done, but I assume that's from irregular maintenance rather than the car itself. It is throwing odd codes when the check engine light comes on, so we're under the impression it has something to do with the extreme weather we have been having. So overall, we've been happy with the car. It's not the best car in the world, and I doubt it's anyone's dream car, but it runs and gets us where we need to go.
