The best value for snowy terrain
I purchased my 2007 Subaru Impreza sedan back in 2007 with 36,000 miles on it. In its previous life, it had been a rental car in Hawaii (why, I'm not sure). 110,000 Miles later, I haven't had a single problem with it... It's acceleration is excellent, the 4WD is incredibly useful for snowy, Colorado winters and the exterior style looks great. The only downside is that interior space is limited. The backseat's about as large as a convertible. On the upside, trunk space is oddly generous. Last negative point: it's a pig on fuel. Averaged 25 mpg on the highway in fair weather :/. I believe this has something to do with the fact that the 4WD is engaged full time, but I'm not sure. Overall, however, I'd purchase this vehicle again (and plan to).

Reliable, durable, and safe car.
The 2007 Subaru Impreza is the first and only car I have owned. It has been safe, durable, reliable, and an overall great first car. It isn't the flashiest vehicle, but the four-wheel drive which comes standard on all Subarus makes it great for driving in inclement weather and challenging terrain. It is sporty, fun, and easy to maneuver. I have put over 100K miles on the car over the past seven years, and it has held up great. As a Subaru, parts and maintenance can be expensive, but I do believe that it has been a worthwhile investment.
