The 2001 Toyota Corolla is one of most dependable cars I have owned. Living in the Seattle area with so many people and vehicles means small parking spaces. The Corolla turns and fits into the smallest of spaces, making parking a dream. As of 2018, I have had no major repairs. I've had to make just the normal oil changing maintenance and the brake pads. It starts right up, even in the coldest of days.

The car is fantastic in many ways. Bought it used with just over 7,000 miles. Gets very good gas mileage for a 4 door car. Interior is crisp, clean, well designed, modern in appearance, and very comfortable. Automatic transmission is very smooth and engine is smooth and quiet. I have friends with high end Lexus and Mercedes cars, and the ride quality of my car is actually comparable in some ways, especially quietness. Air conditioning and heating are excellent. Trunk space is very good. Handling is good, and has power steering and advanced braking. Reliability is legendary for these vehicles, which was a very major factor involved in the purchase decision. Minimal maintenance and very sturdy/strong engines designed to last a long time. I expect to have the car at least 10 years, if not longer. Though I have other vehicles too, including a Land Rover.
