I purchased this vehicle primarily for the excellent fuel economy and low maintenance costs. I am happy to report that both of proven to be true in the 15 months of owning this car. This is the first hybrid car I have purchased and I have fallen in love with the hybrid system - it is SO quiet! For a smaller car, it is relatively roomy on the inside of the car. If I had to choose a negative, it would be that this car hangs really low to the grand so any road debris, snow etc. takes a bigger toll on the car compared to other cars.

I have owned a 2011 Prius for nearly 6 years with bullet proof reliability, great versatility and supreme fuel efficiency. It has consistently operated without a malfunction or needed repair on a daily use basis, including numerous road trips of hundreds of miles in the U.S. It swallows up cargo and luggage for my family of four for week-long road trips without having to fold down the back seat, and has achieved mid-50 mpg range fully loaded with us, our luggage, and running the A/C in summertime heat in the 80-90s Fahrenheit. My 6-foot plus spouse and tall teenagers have adequate head and leg room, and my oldest child has earned her learner's permit while driving the Prius.
